Should I use vector shapes or raster images in my comic panel template?

Vector shapes (using the Pen tool or Shape tools) are generally preferred for comic panel templates because they can be scaled infinitely without losing quality. Raster images (like photographs) can become pixelated when enlarged. However, you can combine both – use vector shapes for the panel outlines and raster images for characters and backgrounds.
