what different steps did african americans take to achieve political goals during the 1920s

They had what was called the Harlem Renaissance which showed the image of a new and sophisticated African-American person that is not related to the old ways. They created great art and wrote great books and even had notable politicians in the house of representatives who fought for advancement of rights of African-Americans.
