What should I do if reinstalling ink cartridges doesn't resolve Canon error E05?

If reseating the print head and reinstalling cartridges doesn't work, try removing all ink cartridges and the print head. Clean the electrical contacts on both the print head and the inside of the printer where they connect, using a lint-free cloth lightly dampened with distilled water. Ensure everything is dry before reassembling and turning the printer back on. This can resolve issues caused by dirty contacts.
