A hero sacrifices himself for the others and accomplished extraordinary exploits, he is an example for the society. He can be real, fictitious, legendary. A myth is a hero transformed by the collective imagination. To be a hero is punctual, while the myth lasts. The myths are in the collective memory and cross the generations: they are universal.
